i
Geosyntec°
consultants
5. PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND REPORTING
This section presents the proposed groundwater performance monitoring and reporting activities.
Monitoring wells that comprise the Sitewide GWMP and WDR permit; namely MW-006A, PT-8,
PT-11, and CHMW-005A will be monitored after injection to evaluate injection performance. In
addition, Geosyntec proposes to monitor wells MW-130A-U, MW-130A-L, MW-131A-U, MW-
131A-L for the duration of performance monitoring activities. Following completion of the
injections, the performance monitoring wells will be sampled monthly for an approximate 6-month
period, as described in Table 2. Groundwater samples will be collected following existing
sampling procedures for the Site.
The performance monitoring groundwater samples will be analyzed for the following analytes:
• Volatile organic compounds (VOCs),
• KMnO4,
• Hexavalent chromium,
• Total chromium,
• Dissolved iron,
• Dissolved manganese,
• Total potassium, and
• Total dissolved solids.
Field parameters including groundwater level, oxidation reduction potential, electrical
conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH, and temperature, will also be collected at each well during
sampling.
Upon completion of field implementation activities, a Former Source Area Injection
Implementation Report (Implementation Report) will be prepared and submitted to the
CVRWQCB.The Report will include a detailed summary of field activities, including the injection
approach, injection depths, flow rates, amendment volumes. Subsequent performance monitoring
results will be included as part of routine semi-annual groundwater monitoring reporting.
Former Source Area Injection Work Plan 12 August 08,2019
