SAP/QAPP Addendum
Lodi-125 N Stockton
Final
March 24,2025
SOP#004-2,Soil Sampling;SOP #017-2,Recording of Notes in Field Logbook;and SOP#015-1,
Packaging and Shipping Samples,in Appendix C and per Site-Specific QAPP Worksheet#19.
6..5.2 Historical Underground Storage Tank Soil Sampling
Four discrete subsurface soil borings from biased locations will be advanced north, east, south, and west at 5-
foot step-outs from the previous approximate former UST location (Stantec,Inc. 2023) via a DPT drill rig to
15 feet bgs (Figure 3). Soil samples will be collected from 5 to 8 feet bgs,8 to 10 feet bgs, 10 to 13 feet bgs,
and 13 to 15 feet bgs from each location.Because these locations on the Site are paved with concrete,
concrete coring may be required;the concrete and base rock presumed to be underneath will not be included
in the first sample increment.
Before soil boring advancement,a utility locator will be used to clear each of the four soil boring locations for
buried utility lines. Should utilities be identified in the proposed sample area, the impacted soil boring will be
relocated such that a 5-foot buffer from the buried utility is maintained. In addition, soil borings will be
advanced the first 5 feet bgs using a hand auger, further reducing the risk to damaging underground utilities.
Soil samples will be analyzed for arsenic and lead via EPA Method 6010 and for TPH will be extracted via
EPA Method 3541 and analyzed via EPA Method 8015M (TPH-g,TPH-d,and TPH-mo).
To collect soil samples for TPH-g,the Toeroek Team will use a single-use Terra Core® sampler and place
collected contents of the sampler into 40-milliliter vials, each with the appropriate preservative for the
specified analysis. For all other sample collection, the Toeroek Team will collect each sample using single-use
trowels and glass bottles. The soil samples will be placed into an appropriate sample container, appropriately
packaged, and sent to the laboratory for analysis.
All soil sample preservation will accord with analytical laboratory requirements outlined in Site-Specific
QAPP Worksheet#19. Samples will be collected, labeled, recorded, packed, and shipped per Toeroek Team
SOP#004-2,Soil Sampling;SOP #017-2,Recording of Notes in Field Logbook;and SOP#015-1,
Packaging and Shipping Samples,in Appendix C and per Site-Specific QAPP Worksheet #19.
6.6 Soil Gas and Sub-Slab Soil Gas Sampling
The Toeroek Team will collect 40 soil gas samples from the 20 locations shown on Figure 4.Permanent soil
gas wells will be installed at 20 locations evenly distributed throughout the Site (Figure 4).The permanent soil
gas wells will be installed at approximately 15 feet bgs at all 20 locations with the screen interval from 4 to 5
53
