<br /> <br />Foothill Sanitary Landfill Page 16 of 53 San Joaquin County DPW - Solid Waste <br />Joint Technical Document Revised 6/09/2020 <br /> <br />Portable diesel fuel storage tank, normally placed near the active phase and inside the <br />lined area of the module. <br />Universal Waste Storage Bins: <br />Electronic wastes and appliances are stored in separate enclosed storage bins placed <br />approximately 500 feet from the active face unloading area. Size of the storage bins <br />vary from 20 to 40 cubic yards. Computer screens are kept separately in non-enclosed <br />storage bins provided by the County. Universal waste storage bins are removed to a <br />County-owned facility when full, and replaced with an empty bin. <br />Hazardous Materials Storage Cabinet: <br />A hazardous materials storage cabinet is placed near the universal waste storage bins, <br />and the contents regularly removed to a County-owned facility. <br /> <br />5. FACILITIES DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION STANDARD <br /> <br />5.1. Design Standards <br />LF-2, Module 2, the current active module meets and all future modules will meet CCR <br />Title 27 and Subtitle D regulations. <br /> <br />5.2. Design Responsibility <br />The San Joaquin County Solid Waste Division Engineering Group under the Supervision of <br />Mark Houghton PE RCE 53316 is responsible for the design of any new disposal sites. The <br />Solid Waste Division will utilize expert advice from various consultants competent in soils, <br />hydrology, geology, landscape design and chemistry. All designs are prepared by engineers <br />licensed in the state of California. The County submits engineering designs for each module <br />to the regulatory agencies for their review and approval prior to construction. The design of <br />each cell complies with CCR Title 27 and Subtitle D construction and design standards. <br />Every new cell design includes a detailed construction quality assurance (CQA) plan. <br /> <br />• The original facility design was prepared by San Joaquin County staff and under the <br />supervision of Gabriel R. Karam, PE (RCE C33172). <br />
