SANsJOAQUIN Environmental Health Department <br /> COUNTY— <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Program Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> UNIFIRST CORP 1819 N HUNTER ST, STOCKTON July 15, 2025 <br /> 6 CA Code of Regulations 66262.40(a) 3010010 - Signed copy of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest kept for 3 years <br /> OBSERVATION 1: Designated facility signed and dated copies of Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest (UHWM)was not <br /> found on-site. The missing manifest was: <br /> -0234637234JJK <br /> OBSERVATION 2: According to Plant Supervisor John Uribe, the facility utilizes a third party contractor for fleet <br /> maintenance. The contractor removes all waste generated from site including used oil. No invoices were available for <br /> review during the inspection. If the used oil is not being disposed of on a uniform manifest or a consolidated manifest, the <br /> following documentation needs to be kept for each facility to show that the repair business is following California Health <br /> and Safety Code Section 25250.12 under Article 13 of Management of Used Oil: <br /> -The amount of used oil generated showing that no more than 55 gallons is transferred in the vehicle at any one time <br /> -The address information on where used oil is being transported to <br /> -The date the used oil is generated <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A hazardous waste generator shall keep a copy of each manifest signed in accordance with <br /> section 66262.23(a)for three years or until the generator receives a signed copy from the designated facility which <br /> received the waste. This signed copy shall be retained as a record for at least three years from the date the waste was <br /> accepted by the initial transporter. The hazardous waste generator must submit a copy of the manifest to the California <br /> Department of Toxic Substances Control within 60 days if the destination facility signed manifest copy is not received <br /> from the transporter or designated facility. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: A copy of UHWM 0234637234JJK was obtained by John Uribe during the inspection by logging <br /> into hwts.dtsc.ca.gov. No further action for this manifest is required to correct observation 1. For observation 2, <br /> immediately submit the invoices from the third party contractor for used oil for 7/15/22 through 7/15/25. If there are no <br /> used oil records, immediately start maintaining all records. <br /> This is a (Class 2)Violation. <br /> 8 CA Health and Safety Code 25160.2(c)(2) 3010013 -All consolidated manifest requirements are met <br /> OBSERVATION: According to John Uribe, Plant Supervisor, the facility utilizes a third party contractor for fleet <br /> maintenance. The contractor removes all waste generated from site including used oil. No invoices were available for <br /> review during the inspection.
