To <br /> prevent cross-contamination, all armrests must be cleaned and disinfected after each procedure <br /> and before reuse if used for any other purpose. <br /> Before the Procedure <br /> o Armrests are inspected for cleanliness. <br /> o If the workstation was used for another task (e.g., setup, consultation), the <br /> armrests are disinfected again before the procedure begins. <br /> o Optional: Disposable barrier film or protective covers may be applied over <br /> armrests to minimize contamination.
