1.7 MOBILIZATION <br /> Mobilization shall include procuring and paying for all required permits, transportation of <br /> personnel, equipment and operating supplies to and from the site, providing portable sanitary <br /> facilities, maintaining fencing and barricades suitable to keep unauthorized personnel away <br /> from construction activities around the site and other necessary facilities at the site. <br /> 1.8 REMOVAL OF CONCRETE PLUG <br /> The Contractor shall remove the concrete plug that is installed in the upper portion of the well <br /> casing. It should be noted that the thickness of the concrete plug is unknown, it is assumed to <br /> be only a few feet thick and was likely installed after the removal of the pumping equipment in <br /> order to prevent the entrance of foreign objects into the well casing. This material shall become <br /> the property of the Contractor and shall be properly disposed of offsite. <br /> 1.9 INSPECTION OF WELL <br /> The well shall be visually inspected using a down-hole video camera to determine the condition, <br /> details of construction, and whether any obstructions will interfere with the process of filling <br /> and sealing the well. <br /> The well shall be cleaned, as needed, so that all undesirable materials, including obstructions to <br /> filling and sealing, debris, oil, pollutants and contaminants that could interfere with well <br /> destruction are removed for disposal. <br /> 1.10 REMOVAL OF WELL PEDESTAL AND CONCRETE SLAB <br /> The Contractor shall remove the concrete surrounding the well pedestal and the well pedestal. <br /> The Contractor shall remove all of this material from the site. This material shall become the <br /> property of the Contractor and shall be properly disposed of offsite. <br /> 1.11 WELL PERFORATION <br /> Using a casing cutter, mills knife, or explosives, the Contractor shall perforate the casing. The <br /> size, number, and arrangement of perforations shall be sufficient to allow the sealing material <br /> to pass through the casing and fill any void space that may exist between the well casing and <br /> the borehole well. The perforation type and schedule shall be as specified in the abandonment <br /> plan submitted to Valley Water after the well is video surveyed. <br /> 1.12 SEALING MATERIALS <br /> The slurry shall consist of the following mixture: <br />
