<br />USR uses a variety of training materials to ensure knowledge and retention Ofthe CAR requirements -and
<br />MRSH handling for these roles. In addition to USR's IIPP, Hazard Communication program and other
<br />company required training, the MRSH program training may include; written and verbal instruction,
<br />presentation, hands on demonstration, class room lecture, and customized training materials Froin
<br />environmental sources and Fiealth and Safety Code (HSC), Public Resource Code (PRC), Code of federal
<br />Regulation (CFR), DTSC and/oI r EPA guidance documents, fact sheets and associated linked resources
<br />which include but may not be limited to:
<br />• Proper universal waste management<including handling, packaging, storino and labeling tile
<br />universal waste, as well as'how to respond to releases -

<br />MRSFI training is provided to designated employees upon initial hire and/or when assigned to process
<br />MRSH and then annually thereafter. The MRSH Program including training material and loo
<br />are readily
<br />available (posted) in the MRSH processing area(s) for employees to review at their discretion. All training
<br />materials and documentation are retained by the EHS Manager.
<br />Health and Safety -
<br />The facility has several t%ypes of spill kits located in specific areas of the facility which includes; mercuryillk
<br />sp,its, non-reactive absorbent materials, 5-55 gallon containers designed for hazardous materials
<br />(UN/DOT rated), shovels, brooms and dust pans are available for use as needed. PPE includes various
<br />size and type of hand protection, safety glasses, goggles and/or face shields, hard hats, ANSI Class 11 high
<br />visibility vests, aprons and/or uniforms are also available at the facility as necessary. Eye wash stations.
<br />are available at various locations where liquids are processed in accordance with Cal OSFIA standards.
<br />USR maintains an IIPP as well as several other health and safety policy plans such as; PPE, Flcat stress
<br />prevention, SPCC, SWPP, Emergency Action Plan, Fire Prevention Plan, and a Hazardous Materials
<br />Business Plan and Emergency Contingency Plan are also in place. All plans are available on site.
