(KLE//VFELOER
Bright People,Bight Solutions.
3.3.4 Investigation-Derived Waste Sampling
One composite Investigation-Derived Waste (IDW) sample, consisting of one soil jar from each generated
drum, will be submitted and analyzed for Title 22 Metals, TPH-mo/d,TPH-g, and VOCs, and other testing
required by the landfill.
3.4 QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL
The below section outlines the standard QA/QC measures that will be followed during this event.
3.4.1 Equipment Decontamination
Sampling equipment(i.e., hand auger bucket, reusable bailers, etc.)that will be reused between locations
will be cleaned prior to collection of each sample by the following procedure:
• Clean equipment with a LiquinoxTM detergent solution and a scrub brush to remove residual soil
and extraneous materials.
• Rinse equipment with tap water.
• Double rinse equipment with distilled or de-ionized water.
Cleaning of sampling equipment will be conducted on plastic sheeting in a pre-designated area. After
cleaning, items will be stored on visibly clean plastic sheeting. It is anticipated that rinsate water
generation will be minimal and it may be drummed along the soil cuttings. If greater than 2 gallons of
rinsate water is generated, it will be placed in its own drum or DOT rated 5-gallon bucket.
3.4.2 Field Duplicate Samples
Duplicate samples collected in the field provide data precision information for the entire measurement
system including sample collection, homogeneity, handling, shipping, storage, preparation, and analysis.
The identity of these co-located duplicate samples is not revealed to the laboratory in an effort to avoid
bias. Field duplicate samples will be collected at a rate of 1 duplicate for every 20 samples per matrix. For
this ESA, one duplicate samples is anticipated.
Anticipated duplicate samples are as follows:
• One duplicate groundwater sample will be collected and submitted for TPH and VOCs.
25001155.006A/ST0240174614 Page 8 of 17 November 8, 2024
©2024 Kleinfelder www.kleinfelder.com
