Four, large upright feed storage bins remain from this operation and are not part of the <br /> ject property. <br /> estigation of the soil in the proposed effluent disposal area began on October 13, 2025 with a soil <br /> file boring down to 8.5 ft using a B-24 Mobile Drill Rig. Four soil samples were sampled off the <br /> auger for laboratory chemical and particle size analyses from the depths referenced below in Table 1. <br /> The Laboratory Report is located in Appendix D. The boring was extended past the encountered <br /> water table, which was determined to be 7.3 ft below ground surface (bgs). <br /> The Lab test results illustrate unusual nitrate-nitrogen (NO3-N) concentrations through the soil <br /> profile. An inexplicably high concentration of NO3-N exists at the 4 ft depth, which is unusual since <br /> the property was never farmed, then a substantial decrease in NO3-N concentration at the 6 ft and 8 ft <br /> depths. After drilling the two perc test <br /> borings, two inches of pea gravel was placed at the bottom and a three-inch perforated PVC pipe was <br /> inserted in both borings. The borings were then pre-saturated with 12 inches of water. <br /> On October 24, 2025, percolation testing commenced. Testing was done over a four-hour period to <br /> induce maximum soil saturation. The test results found in Appendix E reveal the 36-inch depth had <br /> 35.7 minutes/inch(min/in)percolation and the 48-inch depth had a rate of 31.3 min/in.
